Ministry of Ecology and Environment Announces Results of National Air Quality Forecast Consultation in the First Half of March
Economic Daily-China Economic Net, Beijing, March 1, February 28, China Environmental Monitoring Station, together with the Central Meteorological Observatory, the six major regional air quality forecasting and forecasting centers in the country, and the Beijing Environmental Protection Monitoring Center, launched a national air quality forecast conference in the first half of March 2020.
In the first half of March, most of the country's air quality was dominated by good to light pollution. The possibility of regional severe pollution is small. Affected by dust and floating dust, the southern Xinjiang area may have sustained moderate or above pollution.
Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas: In the first half of March, the air quality in the northern part of the region was dominated by good to mild pollution, the central and southern parts were dominated by mild to moderate pollution, and the primary pollutant was PM2.5. Among them, on the 1st, some cities in central and southern Hebei may have short-term severe pollution; on the 7-9th, some cities may have severe pollution.
Beijing: In the first half of March, the air quality was mainly excellent, and the primary pollutant was PM2.5. On 6-8 and 13-15 days, the diffusion conditions deteriorated and mild to moderate pollution may occur.
Yangtze River Delta region: In the first half of March, the air quality in the central and northern part of the region was mainly good to light pollution, the southern part was mainly good, and the primary pollutant was PM2.5.
Fenwei Plain: In the first half of March, the air quality in most of the region was mainly good to light pollution, and the primary pollutant was PM2.5 or PM10. Among them, due to the influence of sand and dust transmission on the 1st and 3rd, floating dust weather may occur in the northern part of the region; on the 6-9 and 13-15, moderate pollution may occur locally.
Northeast region: in the first half of March, the air quality in most of the region was mainly good to light pollution, and the primary pollutant was PM2.5. Among them, on the 1st and 3rd, moderate pollution may occur in southwestern Heilongjiang and central and western Liaoning.
South China Region: In the first half of March, most of the region's air quality was mainly excellent, and the primary pollutant was PM2.5 or ozone. Among them, on the 4-5 and 10-12, there was good to light pollution in the northern part of the region; on the 13-15, the weather turned quiet and stable, the temperature rose, and moderate ozone pollution may occur locally.
Southwest Region: In the first half of March, most of the region's air quality was mainly excellent, and the primary pollutant was PM2.5. Among them, on 6-7, 9-10 and 14-15, PM2.5 in Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration gradually accumulated, with some cities being good to light pollution.
Northwest region: in the first half of March, the air quality in most of the region was mainly good to light pollution, and the primary pollutant was PM2.5 or PM10. Among them, on the 1st and 3rd, affected by strong winds, dust or floating dust may occur in the northern part of the region; on the 6-9 and 13-15, moderate pollution may occur in the Guanzhong area of Shaanxi.
